Accidentally Supporting Animal Cruelty :(

Avoid these companies! They DO test on animals (updated in 2016). #crueltyfree:

I knew that some big macho companies tested their products on animals… but I was shocked and discouraged at the never-ending list of them. I mean, I personally have about half of these products somewhere in my house. Just typical household items, right? It kills me to realize that I’m supporting animal cruelty without a second thought…

But looking at this list, I’m daunted by the difficulty of only using products made without animal testing. Because just look at this list! Many of these have a monopoly on the market for body care, cleaning, makeup, etc.

Maybe the change isn’t about finding products that don’t test animals, but it’s about demanding that the culprits find a new way to test their product’s safety. Now do not get me wrong, I do believe that human life is more valuable than an animal one. However, we were given the responsibility to take care of the animals that call earth their home as well. They too, can feel pain.
